“Dive into Paradise: Exploring Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach”

If you are looking for a family-friendly vacation spot that offers something for everyone? Look no further! Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach is the ultimate destination for families seeking a memorable and fun-filled vacation experience.

Last month we had my oldest daughter’s track meet in Virginia Beach, so the hunt was on to find the perfect Hotel to fit our needs.

Sometimes looking at pictures online gives you a partial view of what the resort will look like. Even with the photos and reviews, sometimes you still need to find out if it will be a good visit.

Thankful we have had excellent stays at all the hotels we have gone to over the years.

How did we decided on this Hotel

Whenever we are looking for a place to stay, the first website I visit is Hotels.com. This is my go-to place for pictures, reviews, and hotel rates.

Hotels.com also has a reward program; if you book 10 nights with them, you get a free night. Check their website for complete details.

Since we were getting a room for free, we only had to pay for 1 night. The free night you receive from Hotels.com is based on the average rate you’ve paid for hotel rooms.

Darn, if that was the case, I should have stayed at the Ritz Carlton while we were away on all these vacations.

Where is Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach?

The Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach is located at 3421 Atlantic Ave. Virginia Beach, VA 23451.

This location is directly on the Boardwalk. Once you walk out of the main lobby doors, all you have to do is turn right, and you are only a few feet from the beach.

How much does it cost to rent a room?

Pricing at this location will vary depending on the season. However, I have seen this Hotel’s pricing start as low as $114 per night. We stayed at the Hotel in March and were there for the NCAA tournament, so our stay was more than $114 per night. We paid about $189 per night.

Is there a resort fee?

Yes, there is currently a resort fee of $30.75 per night. Check the Hotel’s website to see up-to-date pricing.

Aside from the resort fee, there is also a refundable deposit of $200.

Keep this information in mind when you are planning a stay at the Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach.

Parking at Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach.

Parking for this Hotel is free. However, parking is located in a different building than the Hotel.

If you are staying at this Hotel, I suggest you grab a luggage carrier on the first floor in front of the elevators before you unload your car.

On Hotels.com, it says that parking is about 315ft away. The best reference for that is we had to walk about a block and a half to get to the parking garage.

There is a kiosk to pay for people coming and going throughout the day at the garage, but you don’t have to worry about that because the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront will supply you with a keycard.

Word of advice: Do not place the garage keycard next to your phone because your phone will deactivate the card. Also, the website says parking is $15 a day, but when we booked through Hotels.com, it said parking was free.

Check-in Time

Check-in time for Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach is from 4 pm – 12 midnight. Out of all my years of checking into hotels, it never dawned on me that check-in time had a cutoff. The only reason why I realized it was because we were arriving later than we originally scheduled. Something told me to check the website, and what do you know it said if you are arriving past midnight to call the Hotel and let them know.

Check-out time is at 10 am. You can request a later checkout, but that is subject to availability.

This resort is great for any size group you may have. At Hilton Vacation Oceanaire Club Virginia Beach, families can choose from various accommodations that cater to each family member’s needs.

From cozy studios to larger suites with multiple bedrooms, there’s something for families of all sizes. The resort offers a comfortable home away from home feeling, complete with fully-equipped kitchens, private balconies, ocean views, and amenities to ensure an excellent stay for the whole family.

We booked our room at the last minute, so there were few to choose from, but we were able to get a 1 bedroom king suite with a pullout sofa bed that sleeps 4. This room was the perfect size to fit our needs.

Pool outside

Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach pool

When we stayed in March, there were 3 pools that we counted. Two of the pools were indoor, and one pool was outdoor.

The pool, which you can see once you enter the hotel lobby, is the pool that Hilton shows on their website, which is a beautiful pool to relax and enjoy. However, once we got to the Hotel and the kids were dressed in their swimsuits, we found out that the pictures of the pools on the Hilton website were only for people 21 or older.

My son was sad to find out that he was not spending his day in the hot tub. But I get it. Some people don’t have kids yet, and others go on vacation to get away from their children. So to go away and have a pool of kids is not the ideal getaway for them.

The pool where kids are allowed

There was a pool close enough that we could get in. I’m not sure how to get there from the inside, but getting to the pool from the lobby was very easy once you took the path outdoors.

The two pools that children can get inside of are close to one another. One was indoors, and the other one was outdoors.

Pool Hours

The pool hours at Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach are from 8 am – 10 pm, but as always, check the website to make sure.

Activities at Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach

They didn’t post this on the website, but once we got to the Hotel, we realized there were daily activities that the hotel hosts for your family to enjoy. The activities, times, and where the activities would be held were posted in the elevator.

To give you an example of the activities, they had things like “Deal or No Deal.”

Beachfront activities

There are so many fun activities your family can find to do on the beach alone. Like building sandcastles, swimming in the ocean waters, or going for a stroll or bike ride along the famous Virginia Beach Boardwalk, which is just steps away from the resort.

The Boardwalk also offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options for the whole family to enjoy, including live music and outdoor performances.

While you’re on the Boardwalk, remember to visit the Famous Neptune Statue, which is only a 4-minute walk from the resort.

Make sure you go to the right once you get on the Boardwalk to visit the statue. If you go to the left towards the fitness area on the beach (monkey bars), that means you’re going the wrong way.

Just a short drive from the resort, families can explore the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, where kids can learn about marine life and get up close and personal with fascinating creatures from the sea.

You can also visit the Ocean Breeze Waterpark, which offers thrilling water slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools, providing endless fun for water enthusiasts of all ages.

If you’re ready to take a short climb, there’s also the Cape Henry Lighthouse, built in 1792, which is not that far away and is a pretty interesting place to visit. The lighthouse is located on a military base, so if you think your GPS has lost its mind, it hasn’t. You’re going in the right direction.

Honestly, my son and I would’ve been just fine watching the jets fly over the Hotel every 2 minutes. Or at least that’s what it seemed like to me.

The one thing you will not have to worry about when visiting this Hotel is where you will eat. All the different types of food you or your family can think of are located right outside the resort.

Even if your family wants to eat different things, you will not have problems finding something for everyone.

Directly across the street is a fantastic breakfast place called Pocahontas Pancake House. We ordered the waffles and french toast, with the whip cream powder sugar, maple syrup, and strawberries, and they were terrific.
